Seventies ceiling lamp with model name AH 129 designed by Peill & Putzler.
This lamp is made of opaline glass with a chrome accent at the top. The glass has a beautiful geometric pattern. Furthermore, the lamp is in beautiful condition.
Peill & son was founded in 1903 and merged with Putzler (founded in 1869) in 1947, continuing under the name 'Peill + Putzler Glashüttenwerke'. Throughout its existence, the company has collaborated with both important designers and other companies such as Raak Amsterdam and Massive. At its peak (1950s) about 1500 people worked for the company. In 2004, one year after their 100th anniversary, the company was unfortunately declared bankrupt.
