Mid-century ceiling lamp from the Ice Glass lighting collection from the renowned designer Julius Theodor (JT) Kalmarfor the German company Franken KG.

The hanging lamp from the 1960s contains no less than 9 light points which ensure that the light is spread evenly throughout 27 glass discs. These discs are spread over 5 levels that run in a funnel shape.

The lamp is in beautiful condition; the metal rings show a slight form of oxidation here and there, but this is not visible and therefore certainly not disturbing. Furthermore, all glass discs are in perfect condition.

The strength and atmosphere that the lamps must radiate depend on the room where this hanging lamp ends up. As a result, lamps themselves are not included.

During his career, the Austrian designer JT Kalmar designed lighting fixtures for many renowned architects, as well as important institutions, e.g. the Vienna Opera and the Vienna Stock Exchange. In the last decade of his life, Kalmar developed a number of very popular lighting collections, including Tulipan (ca. 1960), Ice Glass (1960) and Atomic (1969).

Kalmar lighting can be found in prominent locations around the world, including the RMS Queen Mary 2, the Moscow Kremlin Presidential Palace and the Burj Tower in Dubai
