Set of 2 designer wall lamps from the 1960s made by the German Honsel Leuchten .

These lamps were made in different sizes, including this one of 33 cm. The simple but ingenious design makes this wall lighting a real eye-catcher.

Charlotte Perriand (partner of Le Corbusier) used these lamps in the apartments of the French ski resort 'Les Arcs'. As a visionary designer, she coordinated the development of this unique winter sports village for 20 years.
The wall lamp also became known through its use in the cult film ' A Clockwork Orange ' by Stanley Kubrick.

Different types of (incandescent) lamps can be used, but the lamp only really comes into its own when a front mirror lamp is used. This casts a soft light on the aluminum bowl and the wall behind it.

Both lamps are in good vintage condition with some minor signs of wear that are not disturbing. Price is for both lamps together.
