Postmodernist bar stool called 'Frenesi' designed in 1984 by Transatlàntic. This seating furniture was manufactured by the Spanish company Akaba. It was part of the group's Sensual Furniture project, which aimed to bring erotic content into the context of stylish furniture.

Star Trek fans may recognize this stool from the decor of various episodes of The Next Generation and Voyager.

The stool is made of stainless steel and aluminum on which a seat rests in leather. The whole is in good vintage condition and has traces of use on the base in the form of light scratches that are not noticeable or disturbing.

The design group Transatlàntic was founded by three Spanish designers: Ramon Benedito, Lluìs Morillas and Josep Puig. The Frenesi has since found its way to various museums, including the world-famous Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) in London.
