Mid-century design wall lamp manufactured in the 1970s by the German company Honsel Leuchten.

The lamp was manufactured in various sizes, including this larger model of 42.5 cm. The simple but ingenious design makes this lamp a real eye-catcher.
You can of course use different types of (incandescent) lamps, but the lamp really comes into its own when you use a mirror headlight. This casts a soft light on the aluminum shell and the wall behind it.

Charlotte Perriand (partner van Le Corbusier) used these lamps in the apartments of the French ski resort 'Les Arcs'. As a visionary designer, Ze coordinated the development of this unique winter sports village for 20 years. De wandlamp was also known for its use in the cult film 'A Clockwork Orange' by Stanley Kubrick.

The lamp is in beautiful vintage condition with hardly any signs of wear. A slight deformation at the edge, but otherwise there is virtually no scratch to be found.

In short, a beautiful and stylish design lamp!
