This vase by Boch is a fairly rare specimen. The shape was designed in the 1930s by Charles Catteau under shape number 1344/1 (31 cm high) and 1344/0 (25 cm high).
This copy is identical in shape but is a smaller version (16.5 cm high) en got number 1490. In addition, the same Turquoise color is present on both the inside and outside.
A limited number of this vase is said to have been made in the early 1940s as a gift to the factory's staff. It was never marketed, which means that these have now become rare.
The gilding shows light wear here and there, which is certainly not unusual. Furthermore, the vase is in good condition with a beautiful shine. Both the shape number (F1490) and decor number (D5102) are applied at the bottom of the vase. The stamp of Boch is also present.
A beautiful item and unique item for every Boch enthusiast!
