Swedish wall unit designed in 1949 by Kasja & Nils Nisse Strinning for String design AB.
The shelves are supported by 3 elegant side supports that rest on the floor. These shelves can be moved very easily, creating numerous possibilities.
This wall unit consists of:
- 3 large metal side supports surrounded by plastic
- 11 wooden shelves (depth 20 cm)
- 5 wooden shelves (depth 30 cm)
The wall rack is in very nice vintage condition with hardly any signs of use.
The design is a beautiful example of thoughtful Swedish design, earning it its place in the Stockholm National Museum. In 1954, String won a gold medal at the Triennale in Milan. All String items are unchanged since the initial design.
Due to its size, weight and/or fragility, this item unfortunately cannot be shipped via bpost. Please feel free to contact us for our delivery options.
